Hi, I’m Jackie, and I’ve got to walk on the Strand and alley ways of Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach for over two decades and through the many phases of my life. During the covid pandemic, the beach became even more vital (when it wasn’t closed)—a space to breathe, reset, and find joy in simple moments. I now embrace peaceful days spent soaking in the ocean breeze with my kids and walking pier to pier whenever I can. This place has always been my sanctuary.
I’ve been to many beaches…Hermosa to Manhattan Beach will always have a piece of my heart. Even traveling overseas, this area is one of the most beautiful stretches of sand on Earth.
Originally from Central California, where the sun blazes and fog rolls thick, I always dreamed of living close to the ocean. I left when I went to college (to a beach town of course). Now, I can’t imagine life without the temperate weather, calming waves, and this beauty in nature. Hermosa’s vibrant energy and Manhattan’s scenic hills have inspired me endlessly.
Through this blog, I hope to share my love for this incredible stretch of coastline and offer insights, tips, and inspiration for locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re here to unwind, explore, or just enjoy the view, I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
